3rd Brake Lights

The third brake light is a red light that is mounted on the rear of the vehicle, usually in the center of the tailgate or at the top of the rear window. It is designed to help other drivers see your vehicle when you are braking, especially when the vehicle is stopped and the tailgate or rear window is obscuring the regular brake lights.

If your Jeep TJ does not have a third brake light, or if the third brake light is not working properly, you can replace it with an aftermarket version. There are many different options available, including LED lights, which are brighter and more energy-efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs.

To install a third brake light on a Jeep TJ, you will need to follow these steps:

First, remove the old brake light or disconnect the wires from it.

Install the new brake light in the same location as the old one. Make sure it is securely fastened and the wires are properly connected.

Test the brake light to make sure it is working properly.

If everything is working as it should, you’re all set!
