Track Bars

A track bar, also known as a panhard bar or lateral locating arm, is an accessory for the Jeep Wrangler JL that is designed to improve the handling and stability of the vehicle. It is a rod or bar that is mounted on the frame of the Jeep and is connected to the rear axle. The track bar works by limiting the lateral movement of the rear axle, which helps to keep the Jeep tracking straight and reduces the risk of oversteering or understeering.

There are several types of track bars available for the Jeep Wrangler JL, including:

Solid track bars: Solid track bars are made of a single piece of material and are designed to provide a fixed amount of resistance to lateral movement of the rear axle. They are a good choice for improving the handling and stability of the Jeep, but may not be as comfortable as other types of track bars.

Adjustable track bars: Adjustable track bars are designed with an adjustable end link that allows the resistance to lateral movement of the rear axle to be adjusted. This can allow the handling and stability of the Jeep to be fine-tuned to suit the driver’s preferences or the conditions of the road.

Disconnectable track bars: Disconnectable track bars are designed with an end link that can be easily disconnected, allowing the track bar to be removed from the suspension. This can be useful for improving the articulation of the suspension when off-roading, as it allows the rear axle to move more freely.

When choosing a track bar for your Jeep Wrangler JL, it’s important to consider the type of driving that you will be doing, as well as the handling and stability characteristics that you want to achieve. You should also make sure that the track bar you choose is compatible with your Jeep’s model and year.
