Airaid is a Phoenix, Arizona company that has been producing intake systems for trucks and Jeeps since 1997. Their product line centers on cold air intake systems and air filter replacements designed to increase airflow volume to the engine compared to restrictive factory airboxes. For Jeep Wrangler owners, Airaid produces intake kits for the 3.6L Pentastar V6 and 2.0L turbo engines found in JK and JL Wranglers, using their SynthaMax dry-media filter technology that requires no oil for filtration. The closed-box intake designs draw cooler air from outside the engine compartment rather than hot underhood air, which can reduce charge temperatures and support more consistent combustion.
